[Original form] Delphinium flower, perennial herb. The stem is 25-65cm tall, covered with rough hairs, which sometimes fall off and become hairless. There are 3-5 leaves at the base or near the base, with long petioles; petioles are 5-20cm long; leaf blades are reniform or slightly rounded, with obovate cuneate lobes, shallow lobes and obtuse teeth, sparsely roughened on both sides, sometimes falling off. The raceme is narrow, 6-30cm long, with bracts leaf-like at the bottom and smaller and lanceolate at the top; the axis and pedicels are rough-haired; the sepals are located at the top of the pedicels or close to the tip attached to the calyx, densely covered with long rough hairs; the flowers are bisexual and bilaterally symmetrical; the upper sepals are boat-shaped and ovate, with spurs drooping. 1.8-2.4cm long; 2 petals, apex slightly concave, occasionally sparsely covered with stiff hairs; 2 staminodes, lobes ovate, 2-lobed, sometimes sparsely covered with rough hairs; stamens numerous, glabrous; 3 carpels, covered with short hairs. The follicles are 1.8-2.8cm long. The seeds are tetrahedral, about 2 mm long, with narrow wings along the edges. The flowering period is from August to October, and the fruiting period is from September to November.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing on hillside grasslands at an altitude of 2100-4600m.

[Properties] Identification of properties: the root is conical, unbranched, 2-4cm long and 2-6mm in diameter. The surface is brown with longitudinal stripes; the root head still has petiole remnants and a hollow stem base. It is brittle, easy to break, and has a brown-yellow cross section. The stems are mostly cut into segments, covered with rough hairs, and most of them fall off. The leaves are wrinkled and broken, gray-yellow-green, and the complete leaves are kidney-shaped or rounded kidney-shaped after being flattened, with 3 deep lobes, 3-8cm long, 5-12cm wide, and sparsely covered with rough hairs on both sides. Raceme, sepals 5, gray-purple, hairy on both sides, petals 2. It has a faint smell and a bitter taste.
