[Source] Medicinal material source: the root and whole herb of the Asteraceae plant.

[Original form] Hairy herb is an annual herb, 25-200cm tall. The whole plant is covered with hooked forked bristles. The stems are often branched. The leaves at the base and lower part of the stem are oblong-oblanceolate or oblong-lanceolate, 6-22cm long, 1.5-4cm wide, narrowed at the base into winged petioles with sparsely serrated edges; the basal leaves wither during flowering; the middle leaves are lanceolate and sessile; the upper leaves are linear-lanceolate. Inflorescence capitulate, numerous, arranged in umbels at branch top; bracts linear; involucral bracts 3 layers, back covered with stiff hairs and short soft hairs; outer bracts short, linear, inner bracts longer, linear-lanceolate; florets ligulate, yellow, with 5 small teeth at tip. Achenes are beakless, 3.5-4.5mm long, slightly curved, reddish brown, with 5 longitudinal ridges and transverse wrinkles; pappus is dirty color. Flowering and fruiting period is July to September.
