[Original form] Pinnata is a large evergreen tree that can reach 35m in height. Fresh bark has white mucus. The twigs have lenticels and obvious leaf scars. The young branches are covered with soft hairs, which fall off later. Odd-pinnate compound leaves are alternate, young leaves are pubescent, and later become glabrous; leaflets are 9-23, elliptic, oblong to lanceolate, 6-14cm long, 2-5.5cm wide, acuminate at the apex, rounded or cuneate at the base, oblique, with blunt serrations on the margins. Inflorescence axillary; flowers polygamous, yellow-green; calyx campanulate, 5-lobed, lobes triangular, hairy; petals 5, oblong, pubescent; stamens 10, free; disk lobes triangular to trapezoidal; ovary nearly spherical, 4-5-chambered, hairy. The drupe is irregularly spherical, fleshy and yellow. There are 1-5 seeds.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in mixed woods on rocky mountains, moist valleys, and slopes.
