The flesh is 2 to 5 mm thick and is dark brown or light green-yellow. The core is light brown. 1 seed, seed coat brownish yellow, seed kernel yellowish white, oily. It has a faint smell and tastes astringent and bitter.

【Identification】 (1) The powder of this product is yellow-brown in color. Vascular-like tubular cells with thick, lignified walls. Non-glandular hairs are easily visible, consisting of 2 to 3 cells and containing brown-yellow material. There are numerous calcium oxalate clusters with diameters ranging from 17 to 54 μm. The stone cells are round, oval or rectangular, with obvious pores and grooves and stratified patterns. The endocarp has thick fiber walls, is lignified, and has obvious pores and grooves. The outer cells are reticulated. Oil droplets and threaded conduit are visible.
