[Original form] 1 Perennial herb, 0.5-3m high. The roots are thick and oblong. Stem branches sparsely spreading. Leaves are two to three pinnate compound leaves; petiole 15-30cm long, glabrous or sparsely pubescent; stipules fused to the base of the petiole, with the apex separated and partly tapered, about 3mm long; each pinna has 3-5 leaflets, leaves are long ovate to oblong-ovate, 4-15cm long, 3-7cm wide, with a pointed apex and a rounded to cordate base, lateral leaflets with oblique bases, finely serrated edges, and hairy on veins on both sides.
