[Original form] Annual herb, 7-30cm high. Suberect or ascending, many-branched, light red, with spreading glandular hairs. Leaves are opposite and almost sessile; the inserted leaves are about 2mm long, 2 deeply lobed, the lobes are lanceolate, with tear-like small teeth; the leaf blades are narrowly elliptic or oblanceolate, 0.4-2cm long, 2-8mm wide, with sharp small serrations on the edges and short hairs on the underside. The flowers are small, mostly clustered in leaf axils; the pedicels are 1-2 mm long; the sepals are 5, narrowly ovate, about 1.2 mm long, and gradually pointed at the apex; the petals are 5, light red, narrowly ovate, and about the same length as the sepals; the stamens are 5; the styles are 5 and short.
