The flowers have fine petioles, solitary in leaf axils, 1.5-2cm in diameter, 5 sepals, narrow lanceolate, about 5mm, 5 petals, yellow, obovate; 15 developed stamens, 3 in a bunch, 5 reduced stamens, opposite to sepals, spoon-shaped, about 1cm long; ovary covered with short hairs. The capsule is horn-cylindrical, 1.7-3cm long, with stellate pubescence. Fruiting season: autumn.
