A thing that every rural household has can actually cure many diseases

A thing that every rural household has can actually cure many diseases

In rural areas, every household has a large vat to hold water. Since it is inconvenient to get water, the water is stored in the large vat for later use.

Because the water tank contains clean water for a long time, some green aquatic plants will grow on the bottom and inner walls of the tank. Many people often wash it off to keep the water tank clean. In fact, this plant is a natural water quality detector. It can only grow in clean water and it also has high medicinal value.

Its name is moss, a moss plant that grows all year round in wetlands, walls, wells, roofs and relatively clean water.

The Dai people are experts in eating moss. There is a folk saying that goes, "In March, moss shows green heads, and in April, the whole river is covered with green moss." No matter what kind of moss it is, it grows on stones or rocks under the water. It spins when spring comes and grows into long, green hair in late March and early April. At this time, the Dai "Bu Shao" and young women tie small baskets around their waists to collect moss from rivers and ponds to make delicious foods such as moss soup and steamed moss.

Moss also has high medicinal value, especially in the treatment of hemorrhoids and rhinitis:

Treating hemorrhoids

For prolapse of the rectum, take 15 grams of moss from the wall, dry it over fire and grind it into fine powder. Also use 5 pairs of sheep's hoof shells, 30 grams each of stir-fried Atractylodes macrocephala and Angelica dahurica, 60 grams of Poria cocos, and 15 grams of Sophora japonica flowers, grind them into fine powder, add a little rice to make pills, take 3 grams every night before going to bed, and take it for 1 month to cure.

Treating burns

Take the moss on the wall and burn it into ashes, mix it with appropriate amount of vegetable oil and rub it on the affected area.

Treatment of acute and chronic rhinitis and sinusitis

Scrape a little fresh moss from the wall (without mud or sand) every day. Wrap it with a small piece of clean gauze, and insert it into the nostrils (alternately into both nostrils) before going to bed, and remove it the next morning. After the nasal congestion is relieved, runny nose and other accompanying symptoms completely disappear, continue to use this method for 3 to 4 days. It will be cured and it is unlikely to relapse.

Treating Trauma

Take the moss from the water, dry it and grind it into fine powder. After disinfecting the wound, sprinkle the powder on it and apply pressure bandage.

Treating Wasp Stings

Applying moss can remove toxins. Works wonders on bee stings!

So, don’t wash away the moss easily in the future, remember to collect it for future use!
