【Original form】 Onion grass, annual tufted herb. The leaves are narrowly linear, 7-20 cm long, 1-3 mm wide, with short tips and tiny teeth on the edges. The scape is nearly cylindrical, 20-70cm long. The head inflorescence is ovate or spherical, 6-15mm long and 6-12mm wide. The bracts are densely arranged in a shingle-like manner, scaly, nearly round or broadly ovate, leathery, dark brown and shiny in the middle, thinner and lighter in color at the edges, with a small green tip at the tip; there are 3 sepals, the 2 lateral sepals are oblanceolate-boat-shaped, 3-5mm long, transparent, with ridges, and glabrous, while the inner one is larger and hood-shaped; the corolla is yellow, about 5mm long, with 3 petals, clawed at the bottom; 3 stamens, adnate to the petals; 3 staminodes, filaments pinnate; style long filamentous, 3-lobed at the tip.
