Cordyceps sinensis

Cordyceps sinensis

I think everyone is familiar with Cordyceps. Cordyceps is a precious Chinese herbal medicine. It is very expensive and is measured by gram. However, there is a kind of weed, not only its underground stem shape is similar to Cordyceps, its nourishing and health-preserving effect is also very similar to Cordyceps, so it has a nickname called "earth Cordyceps", which is a precious medicinal herb, but it grows in the fields, and most people regard it as a weed.

A "weed" in the field, its underground stems are similar to Cordyceps, so it is respectfully called "earth Cordyceps", and is a valuable herb.

This native Cordyceps is also known as "earth silkworm grass", and it is also known as native Cordyceps, white Cordyceps, and tuberculosis grass. Cordyceps sinensis is an annual woody plant with a thick upright stem with many branches. Its leaves are long and have many serrated edges. The fruiting period is from May to October each year. The most valuable part of Cordyceps sinensis is its underground stem.

The underground stems of Cordyceps sinensis are very similar to the gold nuggets of Cordyceps. Its underground stems are milky white and in circles, very much like the body of an insect, so many farmers regard this weed as Cordyceps sinensis. However, in addition to the fact that its underground rhizomes are very similar to Cordyceps, its underground rhizomes can be used to make chicken soup, which also has a nourishing and health-preserving effect, so it is also called "earth Cordyceps".

Cordyceps can also be used as a nourishing and health-preserving Chinese herbal medicine. It tastes a little sweet and can be used with chicken breast or goose meat to make soup, which has very good effects. In addition, its underground stems can be used for cooking. Not only can they be made into various sauce products, but they can also be processed into dried fruits and eaten as a snack. Guangxi Province and other places also call this type of Cordyceps sinensis "ground ginseng".

Cordyceps sinensis is usually picked in the fields in autumn and winter. After digging it out of the soil, it is cleaned. It can be fresh or dried. Eating Cordyceps sinensis can nourish our lungs, replenish blood and qi, clear away heat and detoxify. Friends with anemia can eat more of it, and people who cough due to lung disease can also use it as medicine. However, if you want to take the medicine reliably, it is usually best to go to the hospital to get a prescription, whether it is used to decoct Chinese medicinal materials or make soup.

Cordyceps sinensis is a plant that is easy to grow and has a relatively low planting cost, but its purchase price and value are very high. Choose a loose and fertile soil layer, apply base fertilizer in it first, and then grow the rhizomes of Cordyceps sinensis. After germination, plant these sprouting rhizomes into fertile soil. If the weather is dry, irrigate and fertilize. It has fewer diseases, so it is easy to grow successfully and can be harvested in autumn.
