[Source] The whole plant of Solanum convolvulus of the Solanaceae family. Collected in summer and autumn, cut into sections and dried.

【Original form】Subshrub. The stem is erect, green, round, and the young branches are slightly ridged with white lenticels. Simple leaves are alternate, sometimes two leaves are opposite on the same side of the branch, elliptical, 5-18 cm long, 2.5-8 cm wide, short-pointed at the apex, entire, base gradually narrowing and extending downward to form a petiole, petiole 0.5-1 cm long. The cymes grow on branches, sometimes opposite to the leaves; the flowers are white. The pedicel is about 1 cm long, the calyx is about 2.5 mm long and 5-lobed, the corolla is short, with 5 lobes, long ovate-lanceolate; there are 5 stamens; the ovary has 2 chambers. The berries are spherical, 3 to 4 mm, and yellow when ripe.
