Inflorescence capitula, solitary at the top of the stem, 2-3.5cm in diameter; involucre ovate-bell-shaped, about 2cm long; involucre 3 layers, all or edges purple, base densely covered with long soft hairs, outer layer ovate-lanceolate, inner layer linear, 3 layers, green-yellow; pedicels of varying lengths; florets tubular, purple, up to 2cm long.
