[Source] Medicinal material source: The fruit of the Fuzhou diospyros kaki plant of the Ebenaceae family.

【Original form】 Shrub, 1-2m high. The branches are erect, short-haired and have thorns. Leaves are alternate, small, and leathery; leaf blades are elliptic, narrowly elliptic, or even oblanceolate, 2.5-3.5 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide, obtuse at the apex or obtuse and acuminate, rounded at the base, entire, gray-green on both sides, smooth and glabrous above, and often with scattered pubescent hairs on the midrib below; petiole is about 2 mm long. The flowers are dioecious and axillary; male flowers are slightly smaller, in cymes, with calyx 4-lobed, triangular lobes, corolla shaped, recurved lobes, 16 stamens arranged in 2 whorls, filaments separate, anthers lanceolate, ovary degenerate; female flowers are mostly solitary, calyx 4-lobed, broadly ovate, pointed at the apex, with persistent soft hairs on both sides, sepals enlarge after flowering, corolla bell-shaped, 4-lobed. The berry is spherical, with short soft hairs, and a diameter of 1.5-3.5cm. The seeds are oblong and flat. The flowering period is March-April, and the fruiting period is July-September.
