[Source] Medicinal material source: The pseudobulb of the orchid plant Crane Crown Orchid.

[Original form] Crane orchid, a sturdy herb. The stems are clustered, the base is often thickened into a conical or ovate pseudobulb with 2-6 leaves. The leaves are large, oblong-lanceolate, 30-70cm long, up to 10cm wide, gradually pointed at the tip, narrowing to a long petiole at the base, with fan-shaped veins. The peduncle grows laterally on the pseudobulb or emerges from the leaf axil, is cylindrical, and has 12-18 flowers arranged in a raceme; the flowers are large, 7-10 cm in diameter, the tepals are white on the outside and reddish brown on the inside; the lip is mostly purple-red, rolled upward, surrounding the column, with wavy front edge; the spur is cylindrical, about 1 cm long, and the tip is often forked into two shallow cracks; the column is about 2 cm long. The flowering period is spring and summer, with summer being the peak flowering period.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing in forest wetlands at an altitude of 500-1300m.
