[Original form] Perennial herb, up to 1 meter tall. The stem is erect or slightly spreading, with white soft hairs that gradually fall off. Leaves are opposite or alternate, ovate-elliptical, oblong or lanceolate, 1.5-8cm long, 5-35mm wide, with a small awn tip at the apex, cuneate base, white pubescent on both sides, glabrous when old; petiole 2-10mm long. The spike inflorescence is axillary and terminal, densely packed in a racemose manner at the top of the stem; the flowers are bisexual or polygamous; the pedicel and pedicel have long white silky hairs; the bracts and bracteoles are ovate, with white soft hairs on the outside; the tepals are 5, white or pink, oblong, and covered with long white silky hairs on the outside; the stamens are short, and the reduced stamens are linear; the stigma is 2-lobed. The fruit is ovate and does not crack. The flowering and fruiting period is from April to October.
