Leaves are clustered; petiole 22-55cm long, dark brown at base, straw-colored upward, occasionally with small scales; leaf blade ovate-lanceolate, 40-60cm long, 20-30cm wide, acuminate at apex, rounded cuneate at base, rachis and underside of rachis slightly covered with light brown curled glandular hairs, three-time pinna lobed; pinnae 15-18 pairs, alternate, obliquely upward, 1 pair slightly shortened at base, middle pinna lanceolate, 15-20cm long, 4.5-6cm wide, acuminate at apex, truncate at base, twice pinna lobed; pinnules 25-28 pairs, alternate, lobes 10-15 pairs, obliquely spreading, lanceolate, gradually narrowing upward, with long and sharp serrations on margins and apex; venation pinnate, 2-4 pairs of lateral veins, single. The sori are mostly hook-shaped or horseshoe-shaped, with 1-4 pairs on each lobe, and often 3 pairs on the base lobe; the sori cover is the same shape as the sori, with granular patterns on the surface.
