[Original morphology] Perennial epiphytic herb, 20 to 30 cm high. Aerial roots are hairy and light yellow-brown. The stem is horizontal, segmented, and bamboo-whip-like. The nodes have spherical pseudobulbs, which are fleshy, oval, ribbed, 15 to 30 mm in diameter, green, smooth and hairless. Each pseudobulb has two leaves at the top, which are leathery, thick and brittle, oblong to lanceolate, 8 to 15 cm long, 2 to 3 cm wide, entire, and smooth and glabrous on both sides. The raceme is terminal; there are several sheath-like bracts on the pedicel; the flowers are white, about 3 cm in diameter, bilaterally symmetrical, and have yellow spots on the lip. The fruit is oblong, about 2 cm long and triangular. The seeds are small, yellow, and sawdust-like. Flowering period: spring.

[Habitat distribution] It grows on shady and moist rocks in mixed woods or on tree trunks. Distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou and other places.
