It has also been used for coughs caused by the common cold as a general cough syrup. There are fewer side effects. If the daily dosage exceeds 3 to 4 taels of the raw medicine, it may cause dizziness, nausea, vomiting, slow heartbeat, etc. Most of them disappear after stopping the drug without any sequelae.
