The stem is erect, glabrous at the bottom and sparsely covered with recurved and closely attached short soft hairs at the top. Leaves are alternate; basal leaves have long petioles, up to 14 cm long, and are glabrous; leaf blades are reniform-pentagonal or reniform, 1-2 cm long, 1.4-3 cm wide, 3-lobed near the middle, with the central lobe inverted rhombus shape, the lateral lobes obliquely fan-shaped, and the lobes unequally 3-5-lobed near the middle, sparsely covered with short soft hairs on the upper side, and glabrous beneath. The raceme has 1-5 flowers; the inflorescence axis and pedicel are retroflexed with short soft hairs; the lower bracts are leaf-like, the upper bracts are linear, and the pedicel is 2-6cm long; the bracteoles are born from the pedicel near the top or now near the flower, linear, about 6mm long; bisexual flowers, bilaterally symmetrical; sepals 5, petal-shaped, the upper sepal boat-shaped, about 1.6cm long from the base to the beak, slightly concave or nearly straight at the lower edge, the lateral sepals are about 1.6cm long, violet or purple, sparsely covered with short soft hairs on the outside; petals 2, claws are small, the petal is small, about 2.5mm long, the lip is about 1.5mm long, slightly concave, the spur is nearly rounded, about 1mm long, and slightly bent forward; stamens are numerous, the filaments are entire or have 2 small teeth, sparsely covered with short hairs; carpels are 5, sparsely covered with short soft hairs. Fruit follicles, 1-1.2cm long. Seeds are numerous, inverted pyramid-shaped, about 2 mm long, with transverse membranous wings. The flowering period is September and the fruiting period is October. [Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: 1. Growing in hillside grasslands or bushes at an altitude of 3200-5000m. [Properties] Identification of properties (1) Aconitum carmichaelii, cylindrical, 3-4cm long, 3-6mm in diameter; yellow-brown or tan in surface; smooth sub-roots, wrinkled parent roots; hard and brittle. The stem is cylindrical, wrinkled and hollow in cross section. The leaves are wrinkled or broken, and the complete leaves are pentagonal and kidney-shaped. Raceme inflorescence axis and pedicels recurved pubescent. It has a faint smell and a bitter taste. Mainly used for hepatitis, cholecystitis, pneumonia, cold and fever, pharyngitis, gastroenteritis [Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decocting in water, 2-4g; or grinding into powder, 0.3-0.6g. 【Preparation】 Powder, decoction. [Additional prescription] Prescription 1: 15g each of Bangga, Wafuga, Honglian, Songjiti, Sandalwood, and Pedicularis longiflora, 10g of safflower, and 30g of talc, grind them into fine powder.
