[Original form] White-haired silver plum, shrub, 0.3-2m high. The tree peels longitudinally. Branchlets gray-brown or purple-brown, sparsely pubescent. Leaves are alternate, odd-pinnate, usually with 2 pairs of leaflets, occasionally 3 leaflets, the base of the upper pair of leaflets extending downwards and merging with the axis; petiole sparsely pubescent; stipules membranous, hairy or almost glabrous; leaflets elliptic, obovate or ovate-elliptic, 0.5-1.2cm long, 0.4-0.8cm wide, obtuse or acute at apex, cuneate or nearly rounded at base, entire, green on both sides, more or less pubescent above, densely white tomentose or silky below. Flowers are bisexual; single or several flowers are borne at the terminal end; pedicels are slender and sparsely pubescent; flower diameter is 1.5-2.5cm, sepals are 5, ovate; epicalyx segments are 5, lanceolate, ovate, and obtuse at the apex; style is nearly basal. Achenes, surface hairy. Flowering and fruiting period is from May to September.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing in arid hillsides, valleys, rocky slopes, thickets and mixed woods at an altitude of 1200-3400m.
