Leaves are alternate; petioles are 5-8mm long; stipules are awl-shaped and fall off early; leaf blades are lanceolate or oblong-lanceolate, papery, 9-10.5cm long, 2-3.5cm wide, with acute apex and rounded base, with sparse, short, coarse star-shaped hairs on the upper side, turning dark brown after drying, densely covered with gray-brown soft hairs on the lower side, with fine serrations of varying sizes on the edge; the veins on both sides of the tripartite reach the middle of the leaf blade, and the midrib has 4-5 pairs of lateral veins. The cyme has 3-5 flowers, and the inflorescence stalk is 4-7mm long; the pedicel is 3-4mm long and is all covered with pubescence; the bracts are 3-4mm long, the sepals are 5-6mm long, covered with pubescence on the outside and glabrous on the inside; the petals are oblong, 2-3mm long; the glands are scaly and covered with pubescence around; the stamens are shorter than the sepals; the ovary is covered with pubescence, and the stigma is multi-lobed. The drupe is bi-spherical or quadri-spherical, about 1 cm in diameter, and shiny. Flowering period is August.
