[Original form] Perennial herb. The stem is erect, zigzag-shaped, strongly branched from the base, sparsely branched, more or less hairy or glabrous. Stipules brown, slightly membranous, with sparse long hairs; leaves oblong or long lanceolate, 3-8cm long, 0.3-0.7cm wide, apex acuminate, slightly obtuse, base cuneate, margin curled back toward the back, with sparse long hairs on both sides; panicles spreading, loose, inflorescence branches almost all axillary except for 1-2 at the top; bracts lanceolate, with dark brown keel-like protrusions on the back, sparse long hairs at the base and margins, with 3-4 flowers inside; pedicels 0.2-0.25cm long, longer than bracts, glabrous, with joints at the apex; perianth about 3mm long; 4-4.5mm long in fruit; 8 stamens; ovary glabrous, styles 3, stigma capitate. The nutlets are triangular, 3.5-4mm long, brown, shiny, and do not extend beyond the perianth. Flowering and fruiting period is summer and autumn.
