[Source] Medicinal material source: the whole herb of Pteris simplicifolia, a plant of the Pteridaceae family.

【Original morphology】 Plant height 30-40cm. The rhizome is slender and horizontal, covered with lanceolate scales. Leaves are distal, dimorphic, simple; nutrient petiole 14-18cm long, straw color; leaf blade papery, green when dry, elliptic-lanceolate, 15-20cm long, 4-5cm wide, cordate at base or occasionally with a pair of auricles, entire or with coarse blunt teeth; leaf veins reticulate, forming 2 rows of neat square meshes between lateral veins. The spore leaves are higher than the nutrient leaves, with petioles 30-35cm long; the leaves are lanceolate, 5-10cm long, 8-15cm wide, with a cordate or halberd-shaped base and entire margins. The sori are borne on the veins, rounded when young, and covering the underside of the leaves when mature; there is no sori cover.
