The disease is of actual heat and the body is yang-deficient, so the manifestations include fullness in the lower part of the chest due to internal evil heat, bitter taste in the mouth and irritability, red face and hot body, or fever in the upper body, short and red urine, bleeding from the teeth and nose, as well as fatigue, fear of cold and sweating, diarrhea and abdominal pain due to weak yang, cold extremities but drowsiness, thirst and preference for hot drinks, or preference for cold drinks but not daring to drink, or fever but liking to wear quilts, or aversion to cold in the lower body, fat and pale tongue, deep and thin pulse or rapid and weak pulse. In the formula, the three raw Huangs are soaked in water to clear away evil heat, and the roasted aconite is simmered for a long time to warm the meridians and benefit the yang. By using the same method to combine cold and hot, and bitter and pungent herbs, the yang qi will be restored and the lumps will disappear.
