[Source] The whole herb of the Santalaceae plant. Harvest in spring and summer and sun-dried.

[Original form] Perennial semi-parasitic herb, 15 to 30 cm tall. The base is multi-branched, the branches are soft and thin, and have ridges. Leaves are alternate; linear and pointed, 2 to 5 cm long, about 2 mm wide, with 1 vein. The flowers are small and axillary; with 1 bract and 2 bracteoles; the perianth is campanulate, greenish-white, 5-lobed, occasionally 4-lobed; the stamens are the same number as the lobes, attached to the inner side of the cleft and opposite to the lobes; the ovary is inferior, and the stigma is capitate. The nut is spherical, about 2 mm in diameter, the perianth is persistent, and the reticulation is obvious. Flowering period is April. Fruiting period is May.

[Habitat distribution] It grows in fields and mountainous areas on the edges of sand and in grasslands. Distributed throughout the north and south of my country.

More than 30 types of acute inflammation and more than 200 cases have been treated, with an average effective rate of about 90%. Among them, 44 cases of acute mastitis were cured, 31 were effective, 9 were improved, 2 were ineffective, and 2 were ineffective, with an average treatment course of 4 days; 40 cases of lobar pneumonia were cured, 30 were effective, 2 were improved, 1 was ineffective, and 7 were ineffective, with an average treatment course of 12 days.
