What is the role of Chuanbei

What is the role of Chuanbei

Chuanbei is a very good traditional Chinese medicine, and its efficacy is very obvious. At present, Chuanbei has been frequently recommended to patients by some Chinese medicine practitioners. It can clear the lungs and relieve cough, improve the blood circulation in the lungs, and it can also obviously protect other organs of the body. Many people also use Chuanbei to stew some ingredients. Let us talk about the specific effects of Chuanbei below.

1. Effects on the respiratory system

(1) Antitussive effect Fritillaria cirrhosa has an antitussive effect. In the mouse ammonia-induced cough experiment, tissue cultured Fritillaria cirrhosa and wild Fritillaria cirrhosa were gavaged at 3.0g/kg. The antitussive effect was the strongest at 30 minutes, with a cough suppression rate of more than 50%. The effect began to decline after 1 hour, but still had a significant effect until 2 hours. When the drug was given at 1.5g/kg and 3.0g/kg, the antitussive effect increased with increasing doses. Tissue cultured Fritillaria cirrhosa and commercial Fritillaria cirrhosa have similar cough and phlegm-relieving effects.

2. Effects on the circulatory system

Chuanbeiline has a blood pressure lowering effect. Intravenous injection of 4.2 mg/kg of chuanbeiline to cats can produce a persistent drop in blood pressure accompanied by transient respiratory depression; sibeiline also has a hypotensive effect on anesthetized dogs; very small amounts of fritillary and fritillary amine can increase blood pressure. Large amounts of alkaloids can cause a drop in blood pressure.

3. Antibacterial Effect

Fritillaria cirrhosa has certain antibacterial effects. At a concentration of 2 mg/l, it can inhibit the growth and reproduction of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The water extract of Fritillaria cirrhosae (1:25) has an inhibitory effect on Nocardia asteroides in vitro.

As a commonly used traditional Chinese medicine, Fritillaria chuanxiong has very obvious medicinal effects. It occupies an important proportion in some traditional Chinese medicine mixtures. However, at present, the supply of Fritillaria chuanxiong is gradually decreasing, and the cultivation of this medicine is relatively difficult. Therefore, some drug dealers should not use it excessively, otherwise it will affect its future use.
