Chinese medicine prescription for lactation

In daily life, when it comes to promoting lactation, pig's trotters are indispensable. Pig's trotters have high nutritional value and taste very good, so they are very popular among people. Most mothers have difficulty producing milk right after giving birth, so most mothers choose to eat pig's trotters, which can both promote lactation and beautify the skin. However, in life, not only pig's trotters can promote lactation, some Chinese medicines also have the effect of promoting lactation. Here we introduce several Chinese medicine prescriptions for promoting lactation.

1. Boil 3 grams each of loofah skin and tongcao in water and drink it, or add pig's trotters to make soup. If the effect is not significant, you can use 6 grams of Astragalus membranaceus, 9 grams of Angelica sinensis, 3 grams of Angelica dahurica, 6 grams of pangolin and 3 grams of loofah seeds to stew pig's trotters, drink the soup and eat the meat, the effect is very obvious.

Codonopsis pilosula, Astragalus membranaceus 30g, Angelica sinensis, Rhizoma Smilacis Glabrae 18g each, Bupleurum chinense, Citrus aurantium, Tangerine peel, Squama longituba, Vaccinium myrtles 12g each, Cyperus rotundus 15g, Smilax glabra, Rhizoma Cyperi 10g each. Mainly used to treat postpartum milk deficiency. Usage: One dose per day, decocted in water. Generally, 2-3 doses of the medicine are very effective.

3. Take 2 pig's trotters, stir-fry 9 grams each of Chuanxiong, Angelica, Akebia and Vaccaria, wash the pig's trotters, add water and boil until soft, then remove the above medicines from the soup, boil it and remove the residue before taking it.

2. Mistletoe: Mistletoe has the effects of eliminating rheumatism, benefiting the liver and kidneys, and calming the fetus. It is used for postpartum low milk supply, poor milk supply, or breast pain. It can be used in combination with Rhizoma Lululengtong and Luffa.

3. Corn: Corn silk should be eaten as mature corn silk, which can be obtained when peeling corn in autumn. "Compendium of Materia Medica in Southern Yunnan" believes that it "relaxes the intestines and relieves gas, and treats breast knots, milk obstruction, redness, swelling and pain, fear of cold and fever, headache and fatigue in women." The usual dosage is 30-60 grams, decocted in water. If you have low milk supply or poor milk secretion, you can stew it with pig's trotters and take it twice a day.

4. Tongcao: Tongcao is one of the commonly used Chinese medicines, which has the effects of clearing away heat and dampness, ventilating and promoting lactation. It is very effective for postpartum milk obstruction or milk retention, and is often taken together with fenugreek and pangolin.

6. Pangolin: It has the effects of promoting lactation, promoting blood circulation and relieving symptoms, unblocking meridians, reducing swelling and discharging pus. This product can dredge the qi and blood and promote lactation. It can be used alone or in combination with fenugreek for those with lack of milk due to qi and blood stagnation. If the qi and blood are deficient and the milk is scarce, it can be used together with qi-invigorating herbs such as astragalus and angelica.

7. Rhizoma Lulutong: It has the effects of dispelling wind, dredging meridians, promoting diuresis and promoting lactation. It is used for milk obstruction and breast pain. It is often used in combination with fenugreek, pangolin, and eloquencean, and has an excellent effect on milk secretion.
