What is Tianchong Chinese medicine?

Tianchong is also called dead silkworm and ginger silkworm. It is a relatively famous Chinese medicinal material with high medicinal value. It is mainly used to treat symptoms such as sudden fright in children, tetanus, stroke, wind-heat headache, and urticaria itching. When treating diseases, Tianchong can be used together with platycodon, mint, ginseng, mulberry leaves and other medicines to treat various diseases. Although Tianchong is very good, it may cause allergies when taken internally.

Effect 1

The powder of Tianchong is gray-brown or gray-brown. The mycelium is nearly colorless, slender, curled and entangled in the body wall. Bombyx batryticatus is salty, pungent and neutral in nature. It enters the liver and lung meridians. It can not only calm wind and stop convulsions, but also resolve phlegm and calm convulsions. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for those with convulsions, epilepsy and phlegm-heat.

A small number of patients experience reactions such as dry mouth and throat, nausea, decreased appetite, and drowsiness. Both silkworm pupa and dead silkworm pupa contain ammonium oxalate, which can be decomposed into ammonia after entering the body. It should be used with caution in patients with hepatic coma.
