Schisandra chinensis and wolfberry are actually both very good health care medicines, which have good effects in nourishing the liver and kidneys. It can treat chronic cough, weak asthma, dry mouth due to lack of body fluid, spermatorrhea, chronic diarrhea, forgetfulness and insomnia. Pharmacological experiments have shown that it can regulate the excitation and inhibition processes of the central nervous system, promote body metabolism, regulate the secretion of gastric juice and bile, and has a reducing effect on those with elevated transaminase in the recovery period of hepatitis. The pericarp and mature seed coat contain lignans, which are the medicinal active ingredients of Schisandra chinensis, including various schisandrins.

3. Lycium barbarum is sweet and mild in nature, enters the liver and kidney meridians, and is a commonly used tonic medicine. It can nourish the kidneys and produce essence, benefit blood and improve eyesight, so it can be used for all symptoms of insufficient liver and kidney essence and blood. Lycium barbarum can treat conditions such as low back pain, impotence and spermatorrhea, deafness and tinnitus, forgetfulness and dizziness, blurred vision, tears in the wind, etc. All famous prescriptions such as Qiju Dihuang Pills, Goji Pills, Goji Berry Wine, Goji Berry Powder, and Qiyuan Paste, all use wolfberry as the main ingredient.
