Can Chinese yam treat eczema?

Eczema is actually a common skin disease, because there are many causes of eczema, such as drug factors, disease factors, allergic factors and so on. The occurrence of eczema can actually cause great discomfort to the patient, so it needs to be treated in a timely manner. It is actually feasible to use Chinese yam to treat eczema, but it is best to use it under the guidance of a doctor.

Can people with eczema eat Chinese yam?

Infant eczema usually occurs within 2 years of age. The eczema mainly appears on the cheeks, forehead, and scalp of the face. In rare cases, it may also appear on the body and limbs.

There are two main types of rashes: exudative and dry. Both types will cause paroxysmal severe itching, causing the baby to cry and sleep disturbed. The condition may be aggravated by adverse stimulation or sudden climate changes, wearing tight wool or silk clothes, and washing too frequently with soap.

When children develop eczema, parents can go to a Chinese medicine store to buy an appropriate amount of Chinese yam, grind it into fine powder, and apply it to the affected area 3 to 4 times a day. Generally, the exudation will decrease after 1 day of medication, scab will appear after 3 days, and the disease will heal after 1 week. During the medication period, be careful not to let children eat spicy food, fish, shrimp, beef, mutton and other foods.

The efficacy and function of Smilax glabra

[Properties] This product is slightly cylindrical, slightly flat or in irregular strips, with nodular protrusions and short branches, 5 to 22 cm long and 2 to 5 cm in diameter.

Odorless, slightly sweet and astringent.

It enters the liver and stomach meridians.

【Functions and indications】Dehumidifies, detoxifies, and unclogs joints.

It is used for limb cramps and muscle and bone pain caused by damp-heat stranguria, leucorrhea, carbuncle, scrofula, scabies, syphilis and mercury poisoning.

1. Syphilis.

To treat syphilis, take 4 liang of Chinese yam and 7 seeds of soapberry, boil them in water and drink them as tea.

2. Bone spasm and carbuncle (pain in the tendons and bones, which ulcerate and become carbuncle, which lasts for years and becomes a lifelong disability).

Use one or two liang of wild yam. If there is heat, add Scutellaria baicalensis and Coptis chinensis. If there is qi deficiency, add Sijunzi Decoction. If there is blood deficiency, add Siwu Decoction. Boil them in water and drink as tea.

Another recipe: Use 4 liang of wild yam, 1 liang of Siwu Decoction, 7 soap beans, 49 Sichuan peppercorns, and 7 rushes, boil them in water and drink as tea.

3. Scrofula ulceration.

Cut the wild yam into slices or grind it into powder, boil it with water, or add it to porridge.
