Fenugreek is an annual woody plant of the legume family. The whole plant has a fragrance. It is mostly planted in Anhui Province, Sichuan, and Henan Province. It can tonify yang, eliminate dampness and cold, dissipate bloating, damp and cold athlete's foot, kidney deficiency and low back pain, impotence, what are the effects of fenugreek seeds?

Some of the key benefits of fenugreek seeds are relief from menopausal symptoms, laxative, dysentery, indigestion, control diabetes, reduce cholesterol, relieve sore throat and cough, promote breast development and milk production during pregnancy, etc. Fenugreek played a major role in herbal medicine from ancient times until the late 19th century and is one of the world's best-known breast enhancement herbs. Contemporary scientific research confirms that fenugreek can also lower cholesterol, control and treat diabetes and menopausal symptoms. In Indonesia, it’s incorporated into curry powder. Indonesian traditional herbalists regard it as one of the remedies for stimulating breast milk.

The main components of fenugreek seeds include flavonoids such as gentianine, papain, cholecalciferol, and fenugreek. The sapogenins are mainly diosgenin, yam saponin, and a small amount of diosgenin and trace element tegusapogenin. Also isolated are arabinoside of orientin or isoorientin, flavonoids such as glucose rhamnosyl disaccharide, and luteolin, as well as other flavonoids and polysaccharides. The general composition of seeds is: water 10.30%, ash 3.15%, body fat 7.61%, total protein 16.97%, total sugar 3.68%, methyl cellulose 6.4%, hemicellulose 11.98%.

Human fat oil contains 92.9% solid oleic acid, 1.5% volatile oleic acid, 0.9% non-soap component, 6.25% soy lecithin and 0.5% phytosterol. Oleic acid is mainly composed of fatty acids and palmitic acid, with small amounts of fatty acids and α-linolenic acid. The protein contains 55% nuclear protein. The total sugars are mainly galactose and mannan, and also contain 1-320 mg% of vitamin B2. The leaves contain about 43 mg% ascorbic acid. Wolfberry also contains calcium, iron, carotene, etc.
