【Effects】

1. Dispel cold and relieve pain: ① Used for patients with frequent attacks of cold pain in the forehead that does not heal over a long period of time and accompanied by spitting of saliva, it can be used together with Codonopsis pilosula and ginger. ② Used for abdominal pain caused by cold, take it together with fennel, Toosendan fruit, and costus root. It can also be decocted with sesame oil and wine. ③ Used for cold and dampness, beriberi, abdominal pain, confusion and loss of consciousness, and used with papaya, betel nut and ginger, such as Wu Yu papaya soup. ④ Used for cold and dampness blocking the stomach, epigastric distension and pain, acid regurgitation and irritability, used with Coptis chinensis and Alpinia officinarum.

2. Regulating Qi and stopping vomiting: ① It is used for deficiency-cold in the stomach, with symptoms of vomiting after eating, abdominal pain, or dry retching and saliva. It can be used together with Paojiang. If it is liver fire invading the stomach, with symptoms of flank pain, acid regurgitation, and vomiting, it can be used together with Coptis chinensis, such as Zuojin Pills. ②For mouth and tongue ulcers caused by excess heat in the upper burner, deficiency cold in the middle burner, and Yin fire in the lower burner, grind this product into powder and mix with vinegar to apply to the soles of the feet.

3. Warming the spleen and eliminating dampness: It is used for athlete's foot caused by cold and dampness, and swelling of the lower limbs and shins. It can be used together with papaya, betel nut, perilla leaf, etc., such as Jiming Powder.
