2. Malan flower seeds: sweet in taste, neutral in nature. It can clear away heat, detoxify, stop bleeding, and is mainly used to treat jaundice, diarrhea, leucorrhea, carbuncle, throat numbness, furuncle, wind-cold-dampness arthritis, vomiting blood, epistaxis, and metrorrhagia.

3. Amaranth leaves: treat throat paralysis, carbuncle, and gonorrhea.

4. Malan flower root: can clear away heat and detoxify, treat throat numbness, carbuncle, rheumatism and pain.

Single prescription, proven prescription

1. To treat throat congestion: Grind 30g each of Amaranthus flowers and Vitex rotundus into fine powder, take 1g each time, several times a day, with boiled water.

2. To treat urinary obstruction: 10g each of Amaranthus flowers, fennel and Ledebouriella seeds, fry them and grind them into powder, take 6g each time, and mix with warm wine. 3. To treat hernia: 60 grams of Amaranthus flowers (fried with radish seeds), 45 grams of Chuanlianzi (fried with orange seeds), 30 grams of Evodia rutaecarpa (fried with wine), 6 grams of costus root, grind them into fine powder, take 3-6 grams each time, mix with rice wine, and take on an empty stomach.

4. Treatment of sores, boils and carbuncles: 6 grams of Amaranthus flowers, 30 grams of dandelion and 30 grams of plantain grass, decocted in water and taken, 1 dose per day.

5. Treatment of bone tuberculosis: Fry the amaranth seeds in an iron pan until dry, grind into powder, and take with water, 3 times a day, 5-7 grams each time. Reduce the dosage for children. Use 2 parts of its powder. Mix 5 parts of Vaseline into an ointment for external application.

6. Contraception: 50 grams of amaranth seeds, mash them, add 2 bowls of water, boil into 1 bowl, add 250-500 grams of rice wine, cook for a while, and divide into 6 portions including the residue and soup. Take twice a day during menstruation for 3 consecutive days.

7. Treatment of rheumatoid arthritis: 100 grams each of Amaranthus root and Xanthium root, 50 grams of sugar. Add 2000 ml of water and boil until it becomes 1000 ml. Take 70-80 ml each time, 3 times a day.

8. Treatment of chronic bronchitis: 15 grams of Malan flower root, decocted in water, 1 dose per day.
