White aconite is a widely used Chinese medicinal material. It is also known as: unicorn lotus, arisaema, wild taro, taro leaf pinellia, weeping ginseng, etc. It mainly grows in Sichuan, Yunnan, Hunan and other places in my country. Every autumn is the time to dig up white aconite. After processing, the dug white aconite becomes what we see now. Now let’s talk about the effects and functions of white aconite. The efficacy and function of white aconite: 1. Expel wind and phlegm; dredge meridians; detoxify and relieve pain. It is used to treat stroke, phlegm accumulation, facial paralysis, migraine, tetanus, snake bites, scrofula, tuberculosis, and carbuncle. Dispel wind and phlegm, calm convulsions, detoxify, disperse stagnation and relieve pain. It is used for stroke with phlegm congestion, facial paralysis, slurred speech, phlegm-induced headache, hemicrania, laryngeal congestion and sore throat, tetanus; external treatment for scrofula, phlegm nodules, and poisonous snake bites. 2. Effects on the Central Nervous System Experiments show that raw or processed Yubaifu injected intraperitoneally into mice has a synergistic effect with sodium pentobarbital, and the effect of processed Yubaifu is stronger than that of raw Yubaifu. Intraperitoneal injection of Yubaifu solution into mice has an antagonistic effect on convulsions caused by strychnine nitrate and pentylenetetrazol. There are also reports pointing out that Yubaifu has a certain sedative effect, and the sedative effect of processed Baifu is stronger than that of raw Baifu. However, neither has anticonvulsant effect. 3. Anti-inflammatory Effects The suspension or decoction of Yubaifu powder was injected intraperitoneally into rats, and the results showed that it could significantly reduce the swelling degree of inflammation caused by egg white; the two preparations were injected intraperitoneally into mice, and could also significantly reduce the weight of cotton ball granuloma in mice. Intraperitoneal injection of Yubaifu powder suspension into rats can significantly reduce the swelling of yeast arthritis. 4. Expectorant effect The phenol red excretion experiment in mice showed that intraperitoneal injection of raw or processed Yubaifu extracts into mice had a significant expectorant effect. 5. Anti-tetanus effect Animal experiments have shown that the preventive and therapeutic use of Yubaifu protein has an antagonistic effect on tetanus caused by intramuscular injection of tetanus toxin in mice, and can significantly increase the survival rate of animals. After mice were injected intravenously with tetanus toxin, they were injected intramuscularly with Yubaifu warm extract, water extract, alcohol extract, and intraperitoneally with water extract. The results showed that it was effective against tetanus, and the effect was similar to that of chlorpromazine. 6. Eliminate melanin The traditional Chinese medicine white aconite has the effect of eliminating facial melanin. Grind up white aconite and wash your face before going to bed, and apply white honey on paper and stick it on the face, then the facial melanin spots can gradually fade. "Ben Cao Jing Shu" states: White aconite "is dry and ascending, and is the yang grass among wind medicines... The wind is ascending, pungent and wet, so it can cure hundreds of diseases on the face and exert its medicinal power." |
