Imperata root is a common Chinese medicine. Its main effects are to help stop bleeding, clear away heat and detoxify, and promote urination. Imperata root is used to treat short urination, burning sensation when urinating, prolonged abdominal pain and bloating, severe cold and heat in the body, and frequent bitterness in the mouth. These can all be treated with this medicinal material.

Indications

Cooling blood, stopping bleeding, clearing away heat and promoting diuresis. It is used to treat fever, thirst, vomiting blood, epistaxis, rapid wheezing due to lung heat, hiccups due to stomach heat, gonorrhea, difficulty urinating, edema, and jaundice.

Imperata root is sweet in taste, cold in nature, and good at cooling blood and stopping bleeding. Clears away heat and relieves stranguria
