It is the favorite of old Chinese medicine practitioners. The effect is really amazing.

When I was sorting out the "Selected Medical Cases and Medical Talks of Zhou Dingduo" by the late old Chinese medicine doctor Mr. Zhou Dingduo in Wanling Ancient Town, Rongchang District, I found that Mr. Zhou liked to use Tiankui seeds to detoxify and dissipate lumps. The root tuber of the Ranunculaceae plant Tiankui was used to detoxify and dissipate lumps, and the effect was quite good.

"Southern Yunnan Materia Medica" Tiankui Zi: Disperses various sores and swellings, attacks carbuncles, discharges pus and relieves pain, treats scrofula, dissipates tuberculosis, treats milk knots in women, milk obstruction, redness, swelling and pain, breast abscesses, and breast rocks as hard as stones. It can be dispersed or ulcerated after taking.

Among the approximately 230 clinical medical records left by Mr. Zhou, 14 used Tiankui seeds. They are: 1. Experience in treating a lump on the right eye caused by ethmoid sinus cancer, 2. Experience in treating a tumor (cyst) in the middle part of the esophagus, 3. Experience in treating urticaria (combining Chinese and Western medicine), 4. Recollections on treating phlegm bags all over the body, 5. Experience in treating lymphadenitis for one year, 6. (Appendix 1) Redness, itching, wetness and rottenness in the nasal vestibule and surrounding areas, 7. Experience in treating breast lumps (2 cases), 9. Experience in treating breast tuberculosis, 10. Experience in treating spots, plaques and skin cavitations all over the body, 11. Experience in treating herpes zoster, 12. Treatment of ulcers and ruptures of blood vessels caused by infusion, 13. Experience in treating scrofula in the neck, 14. Cases of sores and boils all over the body.

Example: Breast Lump Treatment

Liu You, female, 38 years old, from Dachang Street, Zhuxi Town, Dazu County. The patient was first diagnosed on May 9, 2008. She said she had been suffering from the disease for several years. The lumps on both breasts were of different sizes. The hospital diagnosed it as breast hyperplasia, and Western medicine was ineffective. The texture is hard, the menstrual symptoms are aggravated, the lump is larger and painful. The tongue is red with yellow coating, and the pulse is stringy and rapid. It is advisable to treat it from the perspective of the liver and stomach meridians. The prescription is as follows.

20g each of Angelica sinensis, white peony root, Chuanxiong, raw rehmannia, bupleurum, and selfheal, 15g each of peony bark, fenugreek seed, smilax china, amaranth seed, red peony root, cyperus rotundus, and green tangerine peel, 30g each of julibrissin bark, curcuma, and gleditsia thorn, and 5g of licorice.

Decoction in water 3 times a day, 2 doses.

After taking the above prescription, the tongue coating becomes thinner and the pain is relieved. The above prescription can be used to treat the symptoms. 2 doses.

Third visit on May 29: The lump became softer and smaller, and the patient took 2 more doses of the above medicine for observation.

Tiankui seeds have the functions of clearing away heat, detoxifying, reducing swelling and dispersing nodules. The dosage used in Mr. Zhou’s prescription is 10 to 20g.

Tiankui seeds taste sweet and bitter and are cold in nature. It enters the liver and stomach meridians. Dosage and administration: 9-15g, decocted in water.

Tiankui seeds taste sweet and bitter and are cold in nature. It is not suitable for people with weak spleen and stomach and clear urination.
