It is used in modern times to prevent and treat epidemic encephalitis B and mumps, either alone or in combination with isatis indigotica, isatis root, etc.

2. Used for heat and toxic sores, scrofula, and snake bites. It can be used alone, grind into vinegar and apply to the affected area or grind into powder. It can also be used in combination with other heat-clearing and detoxifying medicines, such as Du Ming Tang for treating carbuncle and swelling, using this product in combination with honeysuckle, coptis root, red peony root, etc.
