What are the effects and functions of roasted Shouwu and how to eat it?

I believe that many people are relatively familiar with the effects and functions of roasted Shouwu. With the development of society, many people are beginning to pay attention to their own bodies. Therefore, most people are familiar with some medicinal materials with health-preserving effects, including roasted Shouwu. However, some people do not know how to eat roasted Shouwu to achieve its best therapeutic effect.

①Treatment of malaria

Take 6-8 qian of Polygonum multiflorum and 0.5-1 qian of licorice (reduce the amount for children), 1 dose per day, boil for 2 hours, take 3 times before meals, use for 2 consecutive days. 17 cases were treated, 15 of them had their symptoms eliminated and attacks stopped after taking the medicine; 2 cases had their attacks controlled after taking 4 doses of the medicine. There were 2 cases of relapse after 4 months, and they were cured with Polygonum multiflorum again. The time for malarial parasites to turn negative is generally 2 to 21 days after symptoms are controlled. There are generally no side effects during the treatment, with only mild diarrhea and abdominal pain in some cases.

②Treatment of whooping cough

Take 2-4 qian of Polygonum multiflorum and 0.5-1 qian of licorice, decoct in water, take 1 dose per day, divided into 4-6 times. 35 cases were treated, 19 were cured (symptoms completely disappeared), 8 were basically cured (paroxysmal spasmodic coughs completely disappeared, leaving only two or three coughs from time to time), 4 were improved (the number of paroxysmal spasmodic coughs was significantly reduced and the coughs were short), and 4 were ineffective. It has been observed that the drug has significant therapeutic effects on cases without complications, especially those in the late stages where various antibiotics have not been effective. If it is the initial stage, you can add plantain, stemona, radix scutellariae, forsythia, and honeysuckle to decoct and take; for those with nose bleeding, hemoptysis, difficulty in expectoration, wheezing and coughing with wheezing, add symptomatic treatment as appropriate to improve the efficacy. Generally there are no side effects. Some people may experience mild diarrhea after taking it. You can add a little Terminalia chebula or poppy shell.

③ Reduce serum cholesterol

Make Polygonum multiflorum into tablets (containing 70% extract and 30% processed Polygonum multiflorum powder), 5 tablets each time, 3 times a day, for half a month to 3 months; or decoct 1 liang of Polygonum multiflorum and take it once a day for 1 to 2 months. Of the 88 cases treated with tablets, 78 cases decreased, 2 cases remained unchanged, and 8 cases increased. 20 cases were observed using decoction (some used tablets), 16 cases decreased and 4 cases increased. A few cases experienced chest tightness and a feeling of internal heat after taking the medicine, and some had increased frequency of bowel movements. If taken orally with the residue, the effect seems to be more obvious, and the diarrhea phenomenon is also more significant; the tablets are more effective than decoctions, and the frequency of bowel movements also increases, but it is still tolerable. This seems to indicate that the cholesterol-lowering active ingredients of Polygonum multiflorum may be in the residue.

Polygonum multiflorum can be used in meals to make: black sesame, yam and Polygonum multiflorum powder, Polygonum multiflorum steamed pork liver, Polygonum multiflorum stewed chicken, Polygonum multiflorum and Sea Cucumber soup, Polygonum multiflorum and Codonopsis pilosula and red dates porridge, hawthorn and Polygonum multiflorum porridge; or it can be made into: Polygonum multiflorum anti-hair loss tea, Polygonum multiflorum black hair wine, Polygonum multiflorum, Poria and Atractylodes drink, Polygonum multiflorum liver slices for consumption. Pay attention to taboos and conflicts when eating.

This article introduces to us in detail the effects and functions of roasted Polygonum multiflorum, as well as how to eat it. In fact, roasted Polygonum multiflorum can be ground into Polygonum multiflorum powder, which can be used to steam pork liver or make soup, both of which can have very good effects, but you must pay attention to the taboos of consumption.
