[Source] Medicinal material source: the whole species of the spotted-legged tree frog of the family Rhacophoridae.

[Original morphology] The spotted-legged tree frog has a body length of 45mm for males and 61mm for females. The body is flat, the head is approximately equal in length and width, the snout is slightly pointed and round, and the snout ridges are obvious; the nostrils are close to the tip of the snout; the distance between the eyes is larger than the distance between the noses or the width of the upper eyelid, and the tympanic membrane is probably half the size of the eye; the tongue has a deep notch at the back end, the vomerine teeth are narrow and long, and the tips of the fingers and toes are swollen into suction cups; the transverse grooves divide the dorsal and ventral surfaces; the order of finger length is 3, 4, 2, and 1; the tips of the fingers and toes are swollen or slightly webbed, the subarticular tubercles and medial plantar processes are small and obvious, and sometimes there are subdigital tubercles. The hind limbs are long, with the tibiotarsal joint reaching between the eyes and nostrils. The tibia is less than half the body length, the toe suckers are slightly smaller than the finger suckers, and the web between the toes is about 1/3; the subarticular tubercle and medial plantar process are small and obvious, and there is no plantar process. The color varies greatly when alive, ranging from light wrinkled yellow to dark brown depending on environmental conditions. The pattern on the back also varies greatly, generally with 4 black vertical stripes, and some form an "X" shaped spot behind the head. There are fine white lines on the upper jaw edge; there are 3-4 horizontal stripes on the thigh, and the reticular brown spots on the back of the thigh and anus are quite eye-catching; the ventral surface is milky white, and there are slight brown spots on the throat. The male frog has a single subpharyngeal vocal sac with a round hole and a very obvious milky white nuptial pad at the base of the first finger.
