【Original form】Body length is about 29 cm. The beak is short and brown. Iris hazel. The head, sides of the neck, chin, throat, etc. are all chestnut red. The upper body is mostly yellow-olive brown; each feather is either obviously or slightly decorated with black-brown moth-like spots, and the top of the head is mixed with a few brown spots; the forehead and upper back are stained with gray, and the eyebrow is blue-gray, extending almost backward to the back; the back is heavily chestnut-spotted, and there are smaller white spots, and the back is only slightly decorated with fine chestnut dots; the shoulder feathers are slightly the same as the back, but there are more white spots; the tertiary flight feathers have large chestnut-brown circular spots; the inner wing coverts and flight feathers are covered with brown-yellow wavy patterns, while the outer ones turn dark brown, and the outer edges of the primary flight feathers are light chestnut; the central tail feathers are light cinnamon chestnut, densely mixed with black-brown moth-like patterns, and penetrated by 5 to 6 light cinnamon chestnut horizontal spots; the outer tail feathers are almost pure cinnamon chestnut; the chest is blue-gray, extending to both shoulders, forming a collar-shaped collar, and the lower edge is chestnut red; the abdomen and flanks are brown, dark in the front and light in the back, and the flanks are densely mixed with black-brown spots; the undertail coverts are brown with chestnut. The feet and toes are yellowish brown, and the males have long spurs.
