The State Post Bureau released the operation status of the postal industry in May 2024, saying that from January to May, the postal industry's delivery business volume totaled 73.31 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 21.6%. From January to May, the intra-city express delivery business volume totaled 6.07 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 22.3%; the inter-city express delivery business volume totaled 58.17 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 24.7%; the international/Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan express delivery business volume totaled 1.35 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 22.4%.

From January to May, the postal industry's business income (excluding the direct operating income of the Postal Savings Bank) totaled 665.64 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.6%.
