The difference between raw and processed aconite

The traditional Chinese medicine aconite is more suitable for treating some more serious diseases. Although it contains certain toxins, it is named as being able to bring the dead back to life. Especially when many diseases enter a critical moment, the traditional Chinese medicine aconite plays a very critical role. However, the traditional Chinese medicine aconite we are talking about is just a general term. In fact, there are many types of real effects and many names. For example, what is the difference between raw aconite and processed aconite?

Raw aconite and processed aconite belong to the same family, which is a plant of the Aconitum family. It is highly toxic. To distinguish between raw aconite and processed aconite, we need to distinguish them from the following aspects:

1. Different effects. Aconite is the first choice medicine for restoring yang and rescuing adverse conditions. It is an important medicine for enhancing yang energy. Although both raw aconite and processed aconite have the effect of boosting yang, raw aconite has the strongest efficacy. It is mainly used to treat yang loss, collapse, cold limbs, weak pulse, impotence, cold uterus, vomiting, diarrhea, edema, arthralgia caused by deficiency and cold, etc. Compared with the yang-restoring effect of raw aconite, the yang-boosting effect of processed aconite is relatively weakened. Its function is mainly used to treat symptoms such as kidney yang deficiency, fear of cold, cold hands and feet, spleen yang deficiency, and abdominal pain.

2. Different toxicity. In terms of toxicity, both raw aconite and processed aconite are toxic. However, the content of aconitine in raw aconite is very high, and it is generally suitable for patients with advanced cancer or for surgical use. Processed aconite is made after a certain processing procedure, so its toxicity is much smaller than that of raw aconite.

3. Different dosage. Since both raw and processed aconite are toxic, the dosage should be used with caution. The maximum dosage of raw aconite is one large piece, and the common dosage is one small piece. The maximum amount of processed aconite is three pieces, and the general amount is one piece.

That’s all about the difference between raw aconite and white aconite. Most medicines have two sides. If used properly, they can treat diseases, but if used improperly, they will cause a series of adverse reactions. At the same time, because both raw aconite and processed aconite are toxic, more care should be taken in their use.
