In accordance with the requirements of the National Cultural Relics and Tourism Statistical Survey System, and after review by the cultural and tourism administrative departments of each province (autonomous region, municipality), the national travel agency statistical survey for the first quarter of 2023 is summarized as follows: 1. Filling in the information As of March 31, 2023, the total number of travel agencies in the first quarter was 47,069, and the review completion rate of the national travel agency statistical survey data in the first quarter was 89.02%. The data review completion rate in 25 regions across the country was higher than the national level. Among them, the review completion rate in Tianjin, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi, Shandong, Hunan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Yunnan, Shaanxi, and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reached 100%. (See Appendix 1 for details) II. Domestic, inbound and outbound tourism market conditions 1. Domestic Tourism In the first quarter of 2023, travel agencies nationwide organized 19.8065 million domestic tours and 45.2866 million person-days; received 24.5213 million people and 50.3988 million person-days. Domestic tourism single-item services were 73.7668 million person-times. (See Appendix 2 for details) The top ten regions in terms of the number of domestic tourists organized by travel agencies in the first quarter were Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Hubei, Chongqing, Hunan, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Beijing, and Fujian. Inbound Tourism In the first quarter of 2023, the number of inbound tourism outreach by travel agencies nationwide was 19,200, and the number of days was 69,200. The number of receptions was 52,000, and the number of days was 169,900. The number of inbound tourism single-item services was 403,200. (See Appendix 3 for details) The top ten source countries or regions for inbound tourism outreach by travel agencies in the first quarter were, from high to low, Hong Kong, China, the Philippines, Macao, China, Vietnam, the United States, Russia, Japan, Taiwan, China, the United Kingdom, and Thailand. Outbound Tourism In the first quarter of 2023, travel agencies nationwide organized 318,600 outbound tours and 1,419,500 person-days of outbound travel. The number of outbound tourism single-item services was 174,600. (See Appendix 4 for details) The top ten destination countries or regions for outbound tourism organized by travel agencies in the first quarter were Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Macao, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Egypt, Indonesia, New Zealand, and France. Number of visitors According to the three indicators of domestic organization, inbound outbound contact and outbound organization, the market share of domestic tourism, inbound tourism and outbound tourism is 98.32%, 0.10% and 1.58% respectively. Human-natural situation According to the three indicators of domestic organized person-days, inbound outbound contact person-days, and outbound organized person-days, the market person-days of domestic tourism, inbound tourism, and outbound tourism accounted for 96.82%, 0.15%, and 3.03% respectively. Regional Situation The top ten regions in terms of the number of people (person-days) received by the three major market organizations (external relations) of travel agencies in the first quarter of 2023 are Guangdong, Hunan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hubei, Yunnan, Fujian, Chongqing, Beijing, and Guangxi.
