Inventory of China's online travel investment events from 2006 to 2013
Overview Since 2006, there have been 100 investment events, 75 financing entities, and a total financing amount estimated to be no less than 3 billion USD. The investment field divides online travel into 18 sub-fields, including taxi software, short-term rental, guide/sns/forums, etc. The investment events in each field are shown in the following table.

From the table above, we can see that investment hotspots include: taxi-hailing software, high-end travel services, tool apps, strategies/forums/communities, overseas travel service providers, mobile hotel online service providers, and special travel service providers. As time goes by, capital is increasingly favoring mobile terminals, small market segments, and new models of investment targets. Time distribution As time goes by, investment events continue to increase, investment amounts continue to increase, and industry investors are more active.

Since the mobile terminal basically started to emerge in 2011, the main investment areas after 2011 are counted as investment events after 2011.

2011: The key investment direction is online route agents, community/sns (Qingyou, Mafengwo), and the initial layout of the mobile terminal; 2012: The mobile terminal continues to exert its strength, and about 10 cases have been invested; at the same time, community/strategy/sns are also valued (Chanyouji, Bread Travel, On the Road, etc.), and high-end customization is valued (Taimei, Yixiang); 2013: Short-term rental is hot, taxi software is hot, mobile hotel booking APP is hot (Kuaijie, Tonight), second/third rounds of financing, new market segments are valued (nearby tours, itinerary planning, special tours, etc.).
