The surface is brown with many longitudinal wrinkles and root apex angles. It is hard and easy to break, with a yellow-brown cross section and pentagonal ring marks. [Chemical composition] The tuberous root contains austroconitine A, vilmorrianine A, vilmorrianine B (also known as aconitine), vilmorrianine C, vilmorrianine D, isotaladin, talatisamine, 8-deacetylyunaconitine, talatizidine, condelphine, yunaconitine, austroconitine B and crassicauline A. [Identification] Physical and chemical identification Thin layer chromatography: Take about 1g of the powder, add 10% ammonia solution 1ml, ether 10ml, soak in cold for 24h, and filter. The filtrate was evaporated to dryness and washed into a 1 ml volumetric flask with dichloromethane to make up to volume as the sample solution. Separately, dianacontin and taraconitine were prepared into dichloromethane solutions containing 2 mg of each in 2 ml as control solutions. Spot 3 μl of sample and reference solution on a high-efficiency silica gel GF254 thin layer plate, develop with cyclohexane-ethyl acetate-diethylamine (8:1:1), take out, dry, and spray with an equal volume mixture of potassium bismuth iodide and potassium iodide iodine test solution for color development. The chromatogram of the test sample will show spots of the same color at the corresponding position of the chromatogram of the reference sample. 【Nature and flavor】 Pungent; warm; toxic 【Meridian】 Liver meridian 【Functions and indications】Relieve rheumatism; dredge meridians and relieve pain.
