[Source] It is the bulb of Narcissus , a plant of the Amaryllidaceae family. It is best to harvest in spring and autumn. [Pharmacological action] Intraperitoneal injection of 20-30 mg/kg of total bioalkaloids of narcissus has obvious therapeutic effects on Jensen sarcoma in rats, Crocker sarcoma in mice and Ehrlich ascites carcinoma.
