【Original form】 Tree, 15-25m high. Branchlets ribbed, dark brown. Simple leaves are alternate; petiole is 1-2.5cm long; stipules are small; leaf blade is thin leathery, elliptic or obovate-oblong, 3.5-7.5(-10)cm long, 1.8-4.5(-5.5)cm wide, with a blunt short tip at the apex, base cuneate or nearly rounded, jointed at the junction with the petiole, entire; lateral veins are slender and dense, slightly parallel, reticulate veins are obvious on both sides, and the leaf surface is sometimes shiny. Inflorescence is cryptic, with a spherical inflorescence receptacle, 5-8mm in diameter, with an umbilical protrusion on the top, in pairs axillary, or clustered at leaf scars; pedunculate or nearly sessile, 2-4mm long; basal bracts 3, early falling; male flowers, gall flowers, and female flowers grow on the inner wall of the same receptacle, with a few male flowers growing on the inner wall near the mouth, 2 tepals, 1 stamen; female flowers have 4 tepals, ovary obliquely ovate, and style lateral; gall flowers are similar to female flowers, with linear and short styles. The fig (inflorescence receptacle) is pink when ripe. Flowering and fruiting period is from May to November.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown by roadsides, streams or in sparse forests in mountains.
