The main symptoms of this prescription are gallbladder and stomach not knowing each other, and internal disturbance of gallbladder heat. The gallbladder is a place of purity, likes gentleness, and is responsible for growth and development. If it is not in its normal state, it will be depressed and not function properly, causing stomach qi disharmony, internal gallbladder heat, damp phlegm stagnation, phlegm heat blocking the stomach, and stomach qi going against the flow, resulting in vomiting and dry hiccups; phlegm heat disturbing the mind, causing palpitations, restlessness, insomnia, and epilepsy; greasy and slightly yellowish tongue coating, and slippery and stringy pulse are all signs of internal disturbance by phlegm heat.

Aiming at the pathogenesis of gallbladder-stomach disharmony and internal disturbance of phlegm-heat, the treatment should be to regulate qi and resolve phlegm, clear the gallbladder and harmonize the stomach.
