[Original form] Small-flowered whorl of vines, herbaceous or woody vines. The branches are slender, striated and pubescent. The petiole is 1.5-6cm long, peltate near the base of the leaf blade, and is covered with silky soft hairs; the leaf blade is triangular-broadly ovate, 4-11cm long, 2-7cm wide, with a long acuminate tip, a cordate or nearly truncate base, covered with soft hairs on both sides or nearly glabrous above, slightly pale beneath, 1-2 axillary thyrses, narrow, often racemose, densely covered with soft hairs; bracts ovate-lanceolate; flowers are unisexual and dioecious; male flower calyx is altar-shaped, 1-2mm high, with 4 inconspicuous lobes; corolla is butterfly-shaped or 4-5 deeply divided; stamens are polyandrous; female flower sepals are 2, sac-shaped or deeply cusp-shaped, 1.5-1.7mm long, and there are 2 petals, which are tiny. The drupe is flattened spherical, sparsely hairy, with an endocarp about 3 mm long and three rows of small tubercle-like protrusions on each side of the back. Flowering period is from September to November; fruiting period is from February to April of the following year.
