Inflorescence often solitary in leaf axils, with 2-3 flowers; peduncle 1-5 mm long, slightly swollen at both ends; bracts ovate, about 1 mm long; calyx tube elliptic or slightly obovate, 2-2.5 mm long; corolla 1.4-2 cm long, 4-lobed at the apex, lobes spoon-shaped; stamens 4, filaments almost absent or only 1 mm long; style 4-ribbed, stigma rod-shaped. The berries are oval, 7 mm long, and have a spotted surface. Flowering period is August.
